We’re adding extra prizing to our Yu-Gi-Oh! Locals! Earn store credit when your team wins during Duel Academy!

Here’s how it works: During every Sunday in September, we’re asking players to duel alongside their peers in one of three teams: Slifer Red, Obelisk Blue, or Ra Yellow. Players will be sorted into teams according to the results of a personality quiz, but we will try to ensure the team sizes stay close to even.

Each player is able to earn points for their team at every locals! Just showing up earns you & your team 1 point. If you only lose one match at locals, you’ll earn your team 2 points. Go undefeated and you’ll earn 3 points for your team! At the end of the month, any player who played in at least one local tournament will earn store credit if they were part of the winning team.

We’ll be putting $5 in the prize pot per player who attends locals, with a minimum of $40 being added each week. If you played at least one time for the winning team, you’ll get a split of the prize pot. The winning team’s MVP (player who earned the most points) will also get additional Ultimate Tournament Packs in prizing! The more players that show, the more store credit is up for grabs!

Players must play at least two rounds before dropping at any locals in order to earn 1 point. Any player who does not earn at least 1 point will not be eligible for prizing.

There may be even more surprises awaiting players during Duel Academy, so show up every week & earn points! No team is every truly out of the running!
