We're trying out some big changes to Monday Night Commander, and we need your feedback!
Entry is still $5, but now you get to pick your playstyle & play with the appropriate pod: Competitive (CEDH), High-Power (Bracket 4), or Casual (Bracket 2 & 3).
CEDH & Bracket 4 will work similar to before. $5 is put into the prize pool per player in the pod, and the winner of the pod will get the full amount in store credit. There's no holds barred in these pods, so bring your best decks and be ready to throw down!
Casual is where we're testing out the biggest changes. Players can now either pick their pod or be assigned to a random one, their choice! We’ll make sure everyone has a group to play with, so players who chose their pod may be asked to accommodate and welcome other players.
In order to make Bracket 3 less competitive and more beginner-friendly, we're removing the store credit for knocking players out of the pod. Instead, we'll be hosting additional raffles & giveaways to the Casual players.
The following raffles will be hosted for Brackets 2 & 3:
- Two play boosters will be raffled off in each pod.
- All Casual players will be entered into two raffles for a Promo Pack
- All Casual players will be entered into a raffle for a Promo Card
- All Casual players will be entered into a raffle for a new Box of Sleeves
No matter what playstyle you pick, the winners of their first pod will be entered into two raffles at 8pm: One for a Foil Promo Pack and one for an additional Promo Card!
Each player who plays in the event will be able to vote on whether or not they like the new prizing structure or want to keep Monday Night Commander the same as before. Your voice matters! We'll let everyone know afterwards what our plans are for upcoming Monday Night Commander Events.
