Dive into competitive Pokemon at our first VGC event! Show off your Pokemon Champions team & win special prizes!

We're firing off a Pokemon Video Game Competition tourney for the first time in celebration of 2026 Pokemon World Championships! Entry is completely free, so there's nothing stopping you from giving VGC a try: Just download and prepare a team in Pokemon Champions!

This tournament will start after the conclusion of the Pokemon TCG 2026 World Championship Celebration Tourney. If that tourney runs later than 4pm, we will hold the VGC tournament to allow players from the TCG side to be able to play in both events.

We will be hosting Swiss rounds based on attendance, and the winner of division will win a 2026 World Championship screen cleaner that features a type chart! We'll also give a Pokemon TCG Prize Packs to each player who manages to win a round! There will also be raffles for special Pokemon Champions notebooks that are designed to help you take notes during your games.

During rounds, you may not have any play aids or use any third-party software to gain an advantage over your opponent. You may use paper to take notes and keep track of the game state. We will use the in-game timer to keep track of the time in each round.

Pokemon VGC operates on an Open Team Sheet format. Each player will need to bring two completed team sheets: one for the tournament staff and one for their opponent. We will have sheets available on the day of, but you can also print them and fill them out ahead of time by clicking here

There is a cap of 32 players for this tournament.
