A well-known and loved member of our local Magic community, Branden Tanner, was recently diagnosed with grade 3 brain cancer. We’re hosting a fundraiser to show our support and hopefully ease the financial burden of treatment. Join us Saturday, December 2nd for a Modern tournament, Commander side tournament, and silent auction at Top Tier Board Games!
Main Event
Our main event is a Modern tournament starting at noon with a $50 entry fee. Prizes include a box of Double Masters (original) to 1st, a Modern Horizons 1 box to second, a Modern Horizons 2 Draft box each to 3rd and 4th, and a Dominaria Remastered Draft box each to 5th-8th. This tournament will be run at Competitive REL and as such will require decklists. We’ll have them available on site, or you may print one for yourself here:

Commander Side Event
Our Commander Side Event will begin at 1pm with a $30 entry fee. Players will be randomly podded in groups of 3-4 in round one, then with other players at a similar point level for the subsequent rounds. The winner of each pod will receive 4 tournament points, second place will receive 3 tournament points, third place will receive 2 tournament points, and fourth place will receive 1 tournament point, in order of elimination. Pods of 3 will follow the same point structure, with no player receiving one point. Players eliminated at the same time will each receive the average of the remaining points, rounded down (e.g. if a player wins a four-person pod when no eliminations have yet occurred, the average of the remaining points is (3+2+1)/3 = 2 points). There will be three rounds of 60 minutes each. At the end of three rounds, 1st place will receive a Commander Masters Set box, 2nd place will receive a Commander Masters Collector box, and 3rd/4th will each receive half a Commander Masters Collector box as well as two Commander Masters Set packs.
Drawings
Every player in either our Modern main event or Commander side event will be eligible for drawings for two Secret Lairs and $100 singles credit! Must be present to win.
Silent Auction
Participate in our Silent Auction for your shot at some cool Magic memorabilia and more! Items include a Magic 30th Anniversary box, a set of binders and a storage box sporting the Magic logo, an old school MtG magnetic calendar, and official WPN posters of past Magic sets!
