Collectible card games are sold in randomized packs, and allow players to collect and trade cards to build their decks, often starting with an intro or starter deck and supplementing that with boosters to grow their collection.

Living Card Games

Living card games are a variant of collectible card games in which expansions contain all cards from that set, and are not sold in randomized boosters.

Deck Building Games

Deck building games use building your deck as the main focus of the gameplay, in contrast to CCGs or LCGs that require you to build your deck before the game starts. Players start with the same or similar decks and use in-game currency to buy new cards for their deck as the game progresses.
