It's Adventure Week, and we're going to get to some of the creative ventures you guys sent in. But first I thought we'd go on a little scavenger hunt. The first one to get all the answers right in this week's forum thread gets a signed copy of Alara Unbroken (assuming the old ways of snail-mail connectivity can reach where you live).

From the start, we knew we wanted to push the limits. Despite the deck's incredible instability, it won with brute force a good deal of the time. Suddenly we had something that could present a genuine threat.

We call our Constructed playtesting the "Future Future League," and internally we have shortened that to "FFL." Decks we build for the Future Future League have many different purposes. The most obvious purpose is to test for power level, and that is much of what we do. However, not everything we do is that rigorous.

Ever cast a magic mouth spell? It's a D&D thing, so I know I'm reaching into an adjacent circle of my audience's Venn diagram with that reference. Anyway, to me it's always been an inspiring little spell. Even when it doesn't come in handy (and it often does), its potential spurs my imagination. It's the nexus of magic and communications.

The Eye of Ugin. What is it, really? The flavor text of Ghostfire says "Only those gifted with the eye of Ugin, the spirit dragon, can see his fiery breath." But that makes it sound like a physical eye. Which is only fair. After all, Ugin presumably has (or is it had?) at least one eye, whoever he is.
